Do teachers REALLY look at the Scantron card?

Do teachers actually pay close attention and look at the details of the scantron card, after the answers have been filled? I regret erasing a lot of the black bars in the margin of the scantron, because apparently that makes the answer correct no matter what. Will my teacher notice? :/
